Resource Innovations is excited to invite applications for the position of Project Engineer (REF #IK1025) at our Chicago office. We offer the flexibility of partial telecommuting, allowing for up to 3 days of remote work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to assess the installation and performance of new and upgraded energy-efficient equipment.
- Prepare detailed technical reports that summarize energy analysis results and suggest energy-saving opportunities, including potential incentive payments. Collaborate in developing new energy efficiency measures.
- Assist in measurement and verification tasks to ensure accurate validation of energy savings, utilizing tools like Excel and Tableau for data analysis and visualization.
- Perform and review energy savings analyses and building energy simulation modeling.
- Conduct technical reviews and analyze energy performance metrics, calculating energy savings achieved through upgrades to energy-efficient equipment.
- Guide contractors and customers in selecting energy efficiency equipment eligible for utility rebates; effectively communicate and coordinate with various project stakeholders, including contractors and end customers.
- Facilitate monthly training sessions to inform customers about program updates and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the role or a related field.
Essential Skills:
- 3 years of experience in energy modeling and building simulation.
- 3 years of experience with HVAC systems.
Additional Experience:
- 2 years of experience in writing and reviewing technical papers for energy analysis.
- 2 years analyzing HVAC designs and specifications.
- Experience with building automation systems.
- Proficient in data analysis and visualization for energy efficiency projects.
Knowledge of Energy Efficiency Codes and Standards is required.
Travel Requirements: Up to 20% domestic travel to project sites across the United States.
