Key Responsibilities: Utilize your expertise to comprehend customer technical challenges and develop effective solutions using Solo.io products. Collaborate with the sales team to conduct discovery calls that uncover customer challenges pertaining to cloud migrations, microservices, and legacy infrastructure. Deliver engaging product presentations, demonstrations, and workshops as required. Plan and implement proof of concepts to validate Solo.io solutions. Proactively assist customers in navigating architectural challenges and integrating cloud-native platforms like Kubernetes with Solo.io products. Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, sales teams, and product teams. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the product portfolio, relevant technologies, and the competitive landscape. Collaborate with consulting and customer success teams to ensure customers successfully adopt Solo.io solutions. Promote Solo.io products and related technologies through various speaking engagements and content creation (blogs, articles, videos).

Role overview

This Principal Solutions Engineer position is based on the US West Coast. The role is pre-sales, working closely with Sales Executives to address customer technical challenges and support the sales process.

What you will do

  • Provide technical guidance during customer meetings
  • Explain Solo.io solutions and assist with architectural decisions
  • Run proof-of-concept demonstrations for prospective customers
  • Support successful sales cycles alongside the sales team
  • Travel occasionally, especially within the Bay Area
