About the job
Job Title: Principal Product Manager
Location: Mountain View, CA - Hybrid (2 days per week in office)
About Us: At Witness AI, we have pioneered intent-based AI security solutions. Unlike traditional tools that merely track user interactions with AI, we focus on understanding their objectives—preventing jailbreaks, data breaches, and unauthorized AI usage before they cause harm. Our platform provides critical insights into AI usage within organizations, enabling security teams to proactively manage risks, investigate incidents, and enforce compliance in real-time.
The Role: This is an exceptional opportunity for a Principal Product Manager to shape the future of enterprise AI security. You will define how organizations secure their AI initiatives in a rapidly evolving field. Your contributions will set industry benchmarks, and the solutions you deliver will safeguard millions of AI transactions. You will lead the AI Firewall product line and collaborate with multiple engineering scrum teams to develop solutions that meet enterprise customer needs, enhance adoption rates, and maximize customer ROI, while acting as the key communication link between field teams and engineering.
What You'll Actually Do:
Strategic Planning: Conduct roadmap prioritization, customer discovery calls with enterprise CISOs and security practitioners, discuss governance for generative AI, and perform competitive analysis.
Execution: Oversee sprint planning, create rapid prototypes with UX teams, and develop requirements using AI-assisted tools while making real-time trade-off decisions.
Customer Engagement: Review proof of concepts with strategic accounts, analyze usage metrics and adoption trends, and translate security requirements into actionable product features.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap: Own the product strategy and roadmap for the AI Firewall. Determine the competitive landscape and drive prioritization based on customer insights, market trends, and business objectives.
Customer & Market Insights: Lead discussions with enterprise CISOs to uncover new AI risk patterns and translate their insights into product specifications, ensuring a balance of compliance, user-friendliness, and revenue considerations.
Execution & Delivery: Guide 2-3 scrum teams through sprint planning, facilitate trade-off discussions, and ensure timely product launches.
User Experience: Collaborate with UX teams to develop comprehensive user stories and prototypes prior to development, ensuring clear and consistent messaging throughout the product lifecycle.
