POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Optical Manufacturing Principal Engineer focused on both software and hardware automation, you will play a vital role in test automation and networking protocols. Your responsibilities will include validating complex systems at Layer 1 and Layer 2 using tools like Ixia and developing Python-based frameworks. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality of Lumilens' photonic components, modules, and systems, blending hands-on production testing with software test development and reporting to support both new product introduction (NPI) and volume manufacturing.
You will collaborate closely with optical design, hardware, and manufacturing teams to facilitate design for manufacturing, calibration, characterization, and troubleshooting.
