Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant payroll or accounting experience is required. Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel is essential, and experience with HRIS systems is preferred.

The Payroll Operations Manager is responsible for leading the payroll function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payrolls, addressing inquiries regarding payroll transactions, maintaining compliance with federal and state tax regulations, and conducting various reconciliations and certifications on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.


Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and execute high-volume payroll processing biweekly, ensuring accuracy in wage payments, taxes, garnishments, and benefits.

- Manage tax deposits and quarterly and annual tax reporting, including the filing of W-2 forms.

- Supervise the payroll general ledger interface and generate monthly payroll ledger reports.

- Enter monthly payroll journal entries, investigate discrepancies, and communicate outcomes to the finance team.

- Authorize payroll adjustments, reconcile ledger accounts, and post necessary journal entries.

- Review and process annual merit increases and bonuses for employees.

- Provide assistance with payroll year-end processes, budgeting, audits, and general ledger requests; act as a backup for payroll tax filing and reporting.

- Leverage HRIS, Microsoft Excel, macros, MS queries, filters, advanced formulas, and pivot tables on a regular basis.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for timekeeping and payroll-related inquiries, escalating complex issues as necessary.

- Design and deliver payroll training sessions for employees and various departments.

- Perform additional duties as required.
