About the Role
As the Payroll Manager for the EMEA region, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Global Payroll. This position is based in London, and we are looking for a skilled professional with extensive experience in EMEA payroll management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring flawless payroll processing across our European offices, guaranteeing compliance with regional payroll legislation, statutory obligations, and industry best practices.
The ideal applicant will possess meticulous attention to detail, a thorough understanding of European payroll regulations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the People Team, Finance, and external partners to provide a premium payroll experience for our employees.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete monthly payroll cycles for employees in the UK, Germany, and France, ensuring precision, punctuality, and compliance.
- Conduct audits on employee payroll data, including compensation changes, benefits, time tracking, statutory leave, and variable payments.
- Validate payroll inputs and outputs, execute reconciliations, perform audits, and resolve discrepancies to uphold the accuracy of gross-to-net calculations, statutory deductions, and funding requirements prior to final submission.
- Manage payroll funding, salary payments, statutory payments, and post-payroll reporting.
- Act as an internal expert on EMEA payroll legislation, covering PAYE, NIC, pension schemes, working time regulations, and statutory benefits.
- Ensure adherence to payroll compliance with HMRC (UK), Urssaf & French labor laws (France), and German tax and social security authorities.
- Monitor legislative changes, evaluate operational impacts, and implement updates in coordination with legal and external advisors.
- Guarantee GDPR compliance regarding payroll data management and storage.
- Maintain relationships with external payroll vendors and local partners in each region.
- Work collaboratively with the People Team, Finance, and other stakeholders to enhance payroll operations.
