Lead the daily and long-term operations of payloads, focusing on performance monitoring, anomaly resolution, and optimization of our on-orbit communications systems. Assist in mission design and execution, ensuring comprehensive link budget validation, mission configuration, and payload commissioning. Create and maintain software tools and dashboards to facilitate payload telemetry, trending, and health monitoring. Define and implement telemetry and telecommand (TT&C) strategies to guarantee safe and efficient operations.

Payload Operations Engineer

In the role of Payload Operations Engineer at Astranis, you will be instrumental in the planning, execution, and optimization of our communications payloads during their operational life in orbit. Merging your mission engineering expertise with an understanding of RF systems, you will ensure the performance, reliability, and responsiveness of our payloads throughout their missions. This position is perfect for individuals who excel at the intersection of space operations, RF systems, and software-driven telemetry and control.
