Role Overview
The Office Manager, Workplace Experience, creates a welcoming and productive in-office environment. This role covers a range of responsibilities: daily office operations, facilities management, event planning, and fostering a sense of connection among employees. Hospitality and attention to detail are central to the position.
Contract type: 9-month fixed-term maternity leave cover, with potential to extend to 12 months.
Schedule: Part-time, 60% (3 days per week) in the Melbourne office. Required days: Monday, Thursday, and half days on Tuesday and Wednesday.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with the global Workplace network to share knowledge and support best practices.
- Support regional virtual communities and assist co-located offices as needed.
- Manage daily office functions, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient workspace for employees and visitors.
- Handle vendor relationships, including managing contracts and sourcing new suppliers as needed.
- Coordinate onsite catering, including snacks and lunches for staff.
- Oversee office supplies, shipping, and mail distribution.
- Plan and execute office events, from setup and decoration to breakdown, working with IT for audiovisual needs.
- Maintain the office calendar and update Wiki pages with relevant information.
- Identify opportunities to improve the office environment, operational standards, and processes.
- Work with the Office Lead and Social Committee to manage the office budget for events, supplies, and catering.
- Collaborate with the Office Lead to prepare and present monthly house meetings.
