About the Role
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to spearhead the mechanical design of Base-Power’s high-power residential inverter. In this pivotal role, you'll take ownership of key components, evaluate others, and navigate cross-functional design challenges as they arise.
Ideal candidates will possess a solid foundation in thermal dynamics and demonstrated experience in designing mechanical components for power converters, including solutions for heat transfer and packaging for magnetic components and capacitors.
What You'll Do
Lead the development of the highest quality high-power residential grid-tied inverter.
Manage the mechanical design of certain components while reviewing the designs of others.
Facilitate solutions to design challenges, acting as the cohesive force among designers.
What You'll Bring
Over 5 years of experience in mechanical design for grid-tied power converters or equivalent.
Exceptional understanding of thermal principles, including modeling techniques (1D, transient/steady state, FEA/CFD).
Proficiency in designing mechanical components for power electronics, such as magnetic and capacitor banks.
Experience in developing diverse heat transfer strategies.
