We are in search of mathematics specialists who are deeply knowledgeable in algebra, calculus, number theory, linear algebra, differential equations, statistics, geometry, mathematical logic, and discrete mathematics. Your role will involve challenging advanced language models on complex topics like real and complex analysis, optimization theory, mathematical proofs, set theory, probability distributions, cryptographic algorithms, and applied mathematics. You will document every failure mode to enhance model reasoning.
In a typical day, you will engage with the model on classroom problems and theoretical mathematics inquiries, verify factual accuracy and logical consistency, capture reproducible error traces, and propose enhancements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
A Master's or PhD in mathematics or a closely related quantitative discipline is preferred, alongside peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, research in pure or applied mathematics, or hands-on experience with mathematical modeling. Clear, metacognitive communication, effectively “showing your work”, is essential.
