As an intern, you will engage in these processes and help shape the manufacturing approach for new products. This is an exhilarating opportunity to join the DiamondBack team and significantly influence our products and manufacturing strategies.
Principal Duties:
- Collaborate with DiamondBack Engineers to innovate and optimize automation solutions for our manufacturing facility.
- Assist the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and Engineers in designing process enhancements, automating workflows with cutting-edge technology, and improving processes and safety protocols.
- Support the Maintenance, Quality, and Purchasing teams as necessary.
- Work closely with DiamondBack Engineers to diagnose and explore optimal solutions for recurring challenges.
- Potentially take on additional assignments across departments beyond Manufacturing Engineering to enrich your experience in business, engineering, and manufacturing.
Required Skills, Knowledge, Education, and Training:
- Junior or Senior college student, or graduate from an engineering program (preferably Electro-Mechanical or Mechanical).
- Interest or experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with metal fabrication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrated experience through engineering coursework projects.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including G Suite, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and PLCs.
- Interest in and experience with robotics, sheet metal, LEAN Manufacturing, and machinery.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- A personal interest in engineering activities, enjoying building and refining projects outside of work.
