About the role
At SpaceX, we believe in a future where humanity explores the cosmos, and we are dedicated to developing the technologies that make this vision a reality. Our ultimate goal is to enable human life on Mars.
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER - SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT FOR OPTICS & OPTOMECHANICAL SYSTEMS (STARLINK)
Join us in revolutionizing global connectivity with Starlink, SpaceX's groundbreaking low-latency broadband internet system. Powered by a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites, Starlink aims to deliver fast and reliable internet access to underserved populations, including those in remote areas where traditional services fall short. We are seeking passionate and innovative engineers to cultivate and manage suppliers throughout the entire development process, from initial concepts to full-scale production.
The Starlink Space Lasers team is at the forefront of developing, producing, and deploying advanced free-space optical communication systems. By harnessing laser communication technology, renowned for its exceptional data bandwidth and spatial efficiency, we require precise engineering of electro-optical and optomechanical systems. In this role, you will serve as a Supplier Development Engineer embedded within the Space Lasers team, providing critical support to our internal engineering and manufacturing divisions. Your expertise in optics and mechanics will directly influence SpaceX’s capacity to transmit high-rate data globally through laser communication systems.
