The Mammography Technologist at Luminis Health performs screening and diagnostic mammographic exams, following ACR and FDA safety standards. This role supports patient care by meeting both technical requirements and individual patient needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality mammographic images, verifying demographic and technical data according to ACR standards. Collect relevant patient history for each exam.
- Complete procedures efficiently while maintaining high quality within scheduled timeframes.
- Monitor patient status during biopsy procedures, provide first aid if needed, assist physicians during biopsies, and explain post-procedure care to patients.
- Follow radiation safety protocols for all patients and attend required radiation safety training.
- Perform quality assurance checks on mammography equipment and keep accurate documentation.
- Work with supervisors to report problems, suggest improvements, and support both patient care and technical quality.
- Monitor supply inventory in assigned areas and notify supervisors when supplies run low.
- Demonstrate skill with Universal Manager and Epic workflows.
- Handle additional duties as assigned, such as entering mammography data, biopsy results, pending studies, and mammography letters.
- Consistently provide excellent customer service in line with the ICARE service excellence framework.
