Education and Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred: Associate Degree in maintenance, electrical, or industrial maintenance. Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience in maintenance. A minimum of four years of maintenance experience, ideally within a healthcare or hospital setting. Licenses and Certifications:Preferred: Building Operators Certification. Must possess a valid Maryland driver's license with a clean driving record (no more than two points).

The Maintenance Mechanic II at Luminis Health supports the smooth operation of facility equipment in Annapolis, MD. This role covers a range of skilled tasks: installation, troubleshooting, repair, and ongoing maintenance. Safety procedures and predictive maintenance routines are central to the work. The position also includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Install, maintain, and service facility equipment, applying knowledge of operational machinery.
  2. Respond to emergencies and carry out scheduled maintenance assignments.
  3. Handle floor mechanic responsibilities as assigned.
  4. Troubleshoot and repair using mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic expertise.
  5. Complete plumbing, electrical, general maintenance, and carpentry tasks when needed.
  6. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to guide maintenance and repairs.
  7. Follow preventive maintenance standards for assigned areas, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  8. Identify issues, replace or repair components, test systems, and make necessary adjustments.
  9. Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  10. Follow all safety guidelines and keep the work area clean and organized.
