Required Qualifications: A minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) or equivalent. Prior experience and training in a prestigious transactional law firm, along with in-house experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in a broad spectrum of investment funds work with a desire to expand skill sets. Passion for engaging with various legal domains. Exceptional attention to detail. Proactive approach with the ability to think creatively to deliver effective solutions. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different regions and time zones. Proficient in prioritizing tasks, managing multiple responsibilities, and working under tight deadlines. Willingness to support a growing team across diverse locations.

About the job

  • Support the drafting and assessment of fund documentation, encompassing offering memoranda, partnership agreements, and Investment Management Agreements (IMAs).
  • Facilitate negotiations of IMAs with third-party managers.
  • Assist with investor relations, including onboarding new investors, negotiating side letters, and addressing specific investor requests.
  • Oversee the establishment of new entities, including the preparation and negotiation of operational documents and managing signings and closings.
  • Supervise the liquidation process for entities that are no longer operational.
  • Review and analyze documentation related to private investments.
  • Support the management of seed deals and the initiation of new business lines.
  • Contribute to project management, including the development and maintenance of transaction management plans, coordination with internal teams, and handling signings and closings.
  • Coordinate and draft board resolutions, corporate authorizations, and ancillary documents across the organization.
  • Engage with external directors and various departments, including the COO office, fund accounting, compliance, operations, tax, and investor-facing teams.
  • Assist with miscellaneous maintenance tasks such as audits, tax matters, KYC requests, etc.

This role offers a diverse array of responsibilities in a dynamic legal environment, blending funds and investment-related work while addressing ad hoc matters as necessary. The successful candidate will exhibit ownership of their responsibilities and collaborate closely with teams across multiple jurisdictions and senior management. Reporting to a senior legal team member, this role promises a collaborative atmosphere that values initiative and creativity.
