Join Chime as a Lead Employee Relations Partner, where you will act as the foremost advisor and escalation point for intricate employee relations matters across our organization. Reporting to the People Partner team, this role will function as a strategic ally to People Partners and cross-functional teams, ensuring an equilibrium between risk management, compliance, and cultural integrity while promoting a fair, inclusive, and consistent employee experience.

The base salary for this role begins at $167,000 and may reach up to $230,000, depending on your skills, qualifications, location, and experience. Full-time employees also benefit from bonuses, a competitive equity package, and comprehensive benefits. The actual salary may be higher based on individual qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the intake, assessment, investigation, and resolution of complex employee relations issues, including complaints, misconduct, performance concerns, policy violations, and sensitive conflicts.
  • Act as the escalation point for high-risk or ambiguous situations, providing clear guidance on investigation strategy and risk exposure.
  • Conduct and oversee thorough, unbiased, and timely investigations, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Offer expert consultation to People Partners and business leaders concerning employee relations risks, employment law, corrective actions, and decision-making.
  • Enhance excellence in ER documentation and case management, ensuring accurate, consistent, and defensible records.
  • Analyze employee relations data to identify root causes, systemic issues, and recommend preventative solutions.
  • Collaborate with People Partners to coach managers on effective conflict resolution and performance management strategies.
  • Work closely with Legal, People Operations, Compliance, and Benefits to guarantee equitable outcomes and policy alignment.
  • Ensure compliance of employee relations programs with all relevant employment laws and update policies as necessary.
