About the Role
iCapital is in search of a dynamic Assistant Vice President or Vice President Partner Manager to take charge of and expand the company's relations with law firms. The Partnerships team serves as a vital growth engine for our business, with law firms representing the most significant channel for our services.
This position will report directly to the Head of Partnerships and will manage two primary types of partnerships: referral (fund formation attorneys who refer their fund manager clients to our platform) and direct (fund formation practices that are our direct customers). The ideal candidate will work to establish digital subscription workflows as the preferred method for fund formation attorneys, simplifying the onboarding process by removing the cumbersome manual procedures of traditional practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of law firm relationships from initial outreach and onboarding to consistent optimization.
- Identify and initiate new partnerships with law firms that have active and expanding fund formation practices.
- Conduct platform demonstrations for attorneys and their clients, articulating how our subscription document workflows enhance the investor onboarding experience.
- Provide training to Legal teams on utilizing the platform and effectively communicating the benefits of digitized subscription documents to their fund manager clients.
- Establish a regular review process for partners, including monthly reports and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to monitor referral volume and platform utilization.
- Oversee partner data and lead management within the CRM, collaborating with the Sales team to ensure all referrals are tracked and followed up appropriately.
- Deliver ongoing internal updates on the status of the law firm channel, pinpointing firms that require re-engagement and those that are thriving.
- Maintain a proactive outreach schedule to keep our platform top-of-mind for attorneys during peak formation periods.
- Plan and participate in partner events, tech showcases, and live demonstrations.
- Be prepared to travel up to 10–20% of the time for in-person meetings and industry events.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in partnerships, account management, or client-facing roles; experience in LegalTech, FinTech, or private markets is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly and professionally convey technical workflows to fund formation attorneys.
- A strong operational mindset focused on creating systems, reports, trackers, and QBR materials that enable effective and scalable partnerships.
- Demonstrated proficiency in presentations, comfortable with software demonstrations and customizing messaging to diverse audiences.
