NTS Singapore is hiring a Laser Welding Specialist based in Central Singapore. This position plays a key role in supporting high-tech product development and delivering precise welding solutions for complex manufacturing projects.

Role overview

The Laser Welding Specialist sets up, operates, and programs laser welding robots to meet production needs. The role involves close collaboration with Engineering to develop and refine welding programs, improve tooling and jig designs, and keep automated welding processes running smoothly. Maintenance, troubleshooting, and a strong commitment to safety are essential aspects of daily work.

Main responsibilities

  • Set up and operate laser welding robots according to Work Orders and established programs.
  • Create and modify programs and setup plans for existing and new products.
  • Edit tool and weld paths using the machine’s software interface.
  • Work with Engineering and Work Preparation teams to improve production processes.
  • Help design and fabricate welding jigs and support re-engineering for laser welding automation.
  • Perform daily maintenance on machines, fixtures, and tools.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate with Maintenance or Technical Service teams.
  • Maintain safe working practices for yourself and others.
  • Take on additional production tasks as needed.
  • Discuss work progress and resolve program discrepancies with Engineering.
  • Coordinate with team members to prioritize tasks.
