Position Overview We are looking for a proactive Lab & Process Intern to contribute to the development and optimization of our pulp and paper plant operations. In this hands-on role, you will conduct experiments, gather and analyze data, and deepen our understanding of the physical properties of materials, initially focusing on viscosity testing and expanding into other lab experiments as our plant becomes operational. This is a unique opportunity to help establish laboratory processes and protocols from the ground up in a pioneering company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct viscosity and rheology experiments on pulp slurries and related materials.

  • Assist with general lab experiments as needed, including sample preparation, data collection, and thorough documentation.

  • Ensure meticulous lab records are maintained and contribute to the development of reliable testing protocols.

  • Aid in interpreting experimental results, highlighting any anomalies or trends to the team.

  • Help maintain the lab’s organization, calibration, and inventory of supplies.

Compensation & Timeline

  • Compensation ranges from $20 to $28 per hour, including relocation assistance and additional company perks.

  • This is a summer internship opportunity running from May to September, with flexibility according to your school schedule.
