Basic Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of five years of experience in lab packing, pharmaceutical waste segregation, chemical services, or as a truck driver. Possession of a valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in hazardous waste processing. At least two years of field management experience. Willingness to accept responsibility for controlled pharmaceuticals on behalf of Clean Earth. Adeptness in classifying controlled substances according to DEA guidelines. Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and DEA regulations related to waste characterization and hazardous waste transportation. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% by automobile and commercial airline, including occasional overnight stays.

The Lab Pack Manager is responsible for supervising a team of Environmental Technicians across various locations, ensuring the effective execution of critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily activities of Environmental Technicians both in-field and at the facility.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to perform site assessments and prepare accurate estimates and pricing.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance visits at customer sites, addressing and preventing issues proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, EPA, DOT, and DEA regulations, maintaining accurate documentation as required by customer agreements.
  • Monitor staff performance against established guidelines, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings to keep staff informed and tackle any arising challenges.
  • Assist in developing and refining Standard Operating Procedures to promote best practices among Field Services personnel.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, discipline, and, if necessary, terminate team members. Contribute to the annual goal-setting and performance appraisal process.
  • Create and implement training materials for effective knowledge transfer.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to management.
  • Support Sales by conducting inspections at stores and distribution centers, acting as a liaison among Sales, Office Operations, and Field Services.
  • Address field exceptions and resolve any atypical issues that may arise.
  • Take responsibility for controlled pharmaceuticals on behalf of Clean Earth.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.

Starting salary is $80,000 based on experience.
