Join our dynamic team at LaBella Associates as a Survey Technician in Scranton, PA! In this role, you'll engage in a variety of survey tasks, including topographic and boundary surveying, construction staking, and structure monitoring. Your contributions will support diverse projects in land surveying, civil engineering, architecture, and environmental sectors, all while working closely with our Licensed Professional Surveyors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the survey crew chief in executing field assignments efficiently.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols specific to land surveying.
  • Utilize cutting-edge survey technology, including GPS, Robotic Total Stations, digital and differential levels, UAVs, high-definition scanners, and data collection devices.
  • Carry out essential tasks such as clearing brush, driving stakes, recording detailed notes, and creating sketches.
  • Process data and prepare maps and other deliverables using software like AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and others.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to drive a passenger vehicle.
  • Willingness to wear personal protective safety gear throughout the day.
  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including hot and cold weather.
  • Capability to lift and carry equipment weighing between 30 to 60 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to navigate uneven terrain and confined spaces safely.
