Currently, DOF Subsea Canada is in search of a detail-oriented and client-focused professional to fill the role of Survey Engineer / Technician. Success in this position hinges on effective collaboration with both offshore and onshore teams. This role reports directly to the Project Manager. We aim to expand our survey team to support ongoing long-term international and local projects, with expected rotation cycles of 4 to 6 weeks.

Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain survey equipment during offshore operations;
- Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment, provide inventory lists, and prepare fault reports;
- Oversee the installation and testing of survey equipment and systems, as well as their ongoing maintenance;
- Establish networks and connect survey sensors to the online system;
- Familiarity with serial data protocols, Ethernet communications, and fiber optics;
- Assemble and terminate various types of cabling for interfacing, including antennas, networks, serial data, video, and subsea sensors;
- Manage all survey/ROV interface cables;
- Notify the Party Chief / Project Manager of any non-serviceable survey equipment;
- Commission, calibrate, and decommission all survey equipment to meet the satisfaction of the Offshore Manager/Party Chief;
- Ensure safe operation of survey equipment and systems;
- Responsible for the offshore tracking of project equipment and the demobilization and shipping of survey equipment;
- Support the on-line surveyor during operations;
- Maintain equipment logs and inventories;
- Prepare and update cabling and interface diagrams;
- Exhibit effective problem-solving skills;
- Communicate daily with the Party Chief.
