Join LaBella Associates as a Protection and Control Engineer in our Program Management Services Division, based at our client's office in Binghamton, NY. Our division excels in delivering comprehensive management solutions for complex projects and extended capital programs. We assemble dedicated project teams to offer tailored business consulting, project management, financial oversight, and technical support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of existing protection schemes to integrate into new designs, focusing on critical areas such as anti-islanding mechanisms and generator intertie settings.
  • Lead the design of protection systems for capital projects, ensuring compliance with AVANGRID TM standards.
  • Evaluate contractor-provided relay settings and logic diagrams for all capital projects.
  • Analyze area relay coordination to assess necessary adjustments based on project changes.
  • Review temporary builds and construction sequences, including mobile settings.
  • Support design modifications in the Owner's Aspen model as needed for capital projects.
  • Provide support during the implementation, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Offer feedback on existing TM standards and assist in refining design practices.
  • Ensure all as-built documentation is filed correctly at the Owner's facility.
  • Oversee automation and integration designs for capital projects.
  • Review and design SCADA point indexes and HMI settings.
  • Develop operational descriptions and manage automated maintenance data gathering.
  • Track licenses, firewalls, and deliverables essential for project execution.
  • Conduct constructability reviews to ensure comprehensive coverage for each operational step.
