The Tsui Group is actively looking for a skilled and experienced Project Scheduler with a strong background in educational facility construction to support a major educational client in Los Angeles County. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Interpreting and analyzing comprehensive construction drawings, including Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Civil, to develop a thorough understanding of the project scope.
- Reviewing Contractor P6 initial Baseline Construction Schedules to identify any missing scope, logic, milestones, and to analyze the critical path, ensuring compliance with LAUSD’s structured review templates.
- Evaluating multiple Contractor P6 Monthly schedule updates and providing detailed written comments that document milestone slippage and critical path activity delays, along with comprehensive schedule analysis.
- Conducting Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) on contractor schedule submissions to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Creating Earned Value Curves in line with LAUSD EVA template guidelines.
- Monitoring monthly construction progress, identifying potential problem areas, and proposing solutions to mitigate schedule impacts.
- Analyzing Key Performance Indicators from P6 Primavera Schedules and Excel Earned Value Curves, producing Contract Variance reports with root causes and recommendations for schedule recovery.
- Developing or reviewing Suggested Preliminary Construction Schedules according to the provided Plans and Specifications.
- Conducting Time Impact Analysis utilizing the Windows Analysis method, incorporating contemporaneous and forensic schedule parameters.
- Interpreting contract drawings to assess work scope adherence and determining the merit of compensable or non-compensable time extensions.
- Communicating effectively with the project team regarding schedule and progress-related issues during regular meetings.
- Providing status updates for Program Schedules/Master Schedules regularly.
- Ensuring the proper application of Program-level standard codes, layouts, and reports to maintain data integrity.
- Preparing reports as directed by Senior Management.
- Visiting construction sites and attending meetings as necessary to review the Contractor’s monthly schedule progress.
