Lola Blankets, renowned for crafting the world’s softest luxury faux fur blankets, is on the lookout for a meticulous and seasoned Production Manager. This key player will serve as the primary liaison with our global manufacturing partners, ensuring that vendor performance, product quality, and delivery timelines are consistently upheld at the highest standards. You will play a pivotal role in our scaling efforts: managing daily interactions with our overseas vendors, maintaining quality amidst growing volumes, and collaborating closely with our product and sourcing teams to onboard and expand new factory partnerships. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility position for an individual with a proven track record in developing and enhancing international vendor relationships and performance.
Core Responsibilities:
Vendor Management & Production Execution
- Lead daily communications and relationship management with both international and domestic vendors.
- Analyze and manage weekly WIP reports; proactively follow up to ensure that all milestones are achieved and any delays are promptly addressed.
- Oversee adherence to production schedules; identify risks and implement collaborative mitigations with the broader Operations and Product teams.
- Adjust production priorities to accommodate fast track, small batch, or launch orders in relation to existing orders and business needs.
- Maintain updated systems and tracking documents to reflect the most current estimated time of arrivals (ETAs).
- Ensure that factory partners meet Lola's expectations regarding service levels, communication, and continuous improvement.
New Vendor & Product Development Support
- Collaborate with Product & Supply Chain teams to assess, onboard, and scale new vendors as Lola expands into new categories.
- Define and document quality standards for all new products and materials, including greige goods and component parts.
- Ensure vendors are adequately trained and capable of meeting Lola’s quality benchmarks before any new product launch or scale-up.
Inventory & Component Oversight
- Oversee greige material planning and order timelines across vendors to ensure seamless production.
- Manage vendor-held inventory of raw materials, trims, labels, and other essential components to prevent bottlenecks and align with pre-purchase agreements.
- Proactively communicate any delays and risks to Lola leadership to facilitate timely corrective actions and necessary adjustments.
