Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with clients to define project scope, identify challenges, and propose effective solutions.Create Protection and Control documentation including relay one-lines, three-lines, AC/DC schematics, I/O lists, relay settings, and configuration files, as well as panel construction specifications.Assess interoperability, control features, and communication/protocol of protective relays, RTUs, LTC Controllers, and other equipment. Conduct power system load flow studies, fault studies, and relay setting coordination.Assist in system commissioning, including startup procedures and functional testing.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.A minimum of 5 years of experience in protection and control system design, cost estimating, and bidding document preparation for electrical transmission and distribution substations.A Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States is preferred but not required.Proven success in designing Protection and Control Systems and conducting power system studies.Familiarity with IEEE, NERC, NEC, NESC, NEMA, and ANSI standards is essential for substation design.Experience with telecommunications, protective relaying, and SCADA systems is mandatory.Interest in low voltage coordination and arc flash studies.Knowledge of Schweitzer Engineering, General Electric, and Basler equipment is a plus.
