Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with all Baystate Interpreters, Inc. policies regarding information security and confidentiality, including HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and other applicable regulations.
- Deliver accurate on-site interpretation between English and designated target languages.
- Adhere to interpreter protocols and procedures as outlined by Baystate Interpreters, Inc. and our clients.
- Maintain ethics standards in interpreting, including those set by the IMIA, NCIHC, ATA, NAJIT, and ISO, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, impartiality, professionalism, and cultural competence in every assignment.
- Foster positive, professional relationships with patients, clients, healthcare providers, and clinical staff.
- Continuously enhance specialized vocabulary and subject matter knowledge (e.g., medical, legal, social services) to meet client needs.
- Exhibit professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality throughout the interpretation process.
