Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with Baystate Interpreters, Inc. policies regarding information security and confidentiality, including HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and other pertinent regulations.
- Provide precise on-site interpretation between English and specified target languages.
- Adhere to interpreter protocols and procedures as directed by Baystate Interpreters, Inc. and respective clients.
- Uphold ethical standards established by the IMIA, NCIHC, ATA, NAJIT, and ISO, maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, impartiality, professionalism, and cultural competence in every assignment.
- Foster positive, professional relationships with patients, clients, healthcare providers, and clinical personnel.
- Continuously enhance your specialized vocabulary and knowledge in relevant fields (e.g., medical, legal, social services) to meet client needs.
- Exhibit professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality throughout the interpretation process.
