The Head of People will report to the COO and work closely with the CEO and founder. This position leads Apron's People function, shaping how the company recruits, operates, and develops its team. The aim: build an environment where top talent can thrive. The role is hands-on and calls for strong judgment and reliable execution.

Key responsibilities

Foster a high-performance culture

  • Develop a clear people philosophy that reflects the founders’ vision
  • Set and uphold high-performance standards throughout the company
  • Make expectations clear and ensure performance is measurable
  • Promote a collaborative, in-person working style
  • Maintain consistent culture and standards as Apron expands globally

Drive performance and leadership

  • Create and implement practical frameworks for performance management
  • Prepare leaders to hold effective performance and feedback conversations
  • Coach senior leaders on team effectiveness, decision-making, and conflict resolution
  • Identify and address organizational friction early
  • Ensure that scaling strengthens company performance

Oversee talent acquisition and quality

This role also covers responsibility for talent acquisition and maintaining high standards as Apron grows.
