Minimum 5 years of relevant job experience. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Obtained or in pursuit of a NYS PE License. Energy and/or Commissioning certifications from industry organizations is a plus (CEM, CBCP, BCxP, BEAP, etc.). Functional working knowledge of M/E/P/FP, building automation systems as well as system design and construction processes. Proficient with building modeling software programs. Experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.

Join our dynamic team at LaBella Associates in White Plains, NY, where we are seeking skilled Energy Engineers to contribute to innovative Energy and Commissioning projects within our Building Engineering Division. The ideal candidate will collaborate with fellow engineers and project managers as part of a dedicated project team, playing a vital role in the conceptualization, strategy development, design, documentation, and reporting for new building and renovation initiatives, particularly those focused on energy efficiency and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive energy audits and feasibility studies to pinpoint Energy Conservation Measures.
  • Analyze utility data to assess energy consumption patterns.
  • Execute fundamental energy savings calculations utilizing precise field data and informed assumptions to estimate potential savings.
  • Create technical documentation to support design concepts. Assist with mechanical design projects as necessary.
  • Interpret complex plans and specifications, ensuring all project design requirements are met.
  • Plan, conduct, and document the commissioning of various mechanical and electrical systems to validate their intended operation.
  • Perform on-site investigations and inspections for multi-discipline projects.
  • Lead efforts to resolve construction-related challenges, procedures, and methods.
  • Stay updated on relevant engineering and construction codes.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Current pursuit or possession of a New York State Professional Engineer License.
  • Industry certifications related to Energy and/or Commissioning (e.g., CEM, CBCP, BCxP, BEAP) are advantageous.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems, along with system design and construction processes.
  • Experience with building modeling software is essential.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
The final salary offered will be based on various factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, educational background, and work location.
