Key Responsibilities:Manage ecological construction operations across the Northeastern US, with a primary focus on New York State.Prepare project estimates and proposals.Engage in business development activities, including attending conferences and networking events to enhance this business segment.Oversee project management duties such as budget tracking, client communication, staff and equipment scheduling, deliverable reviews, and collaboration with agency representatives.Mentor and supervise junior staff members.Build and maintain relationships with public agencies, regulators, private developers, consulting and engineering firms, and non-profits to drive business development.Handle program budgeting and strategic planning.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural resources, ecology, geography, or a related discipline.12-20 years of experience, with at least 10 years in progressively responsible roles within the industry.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.In-depth knowledge of relevant New York State and Federal regulations.Proven experience in leading and mentoring junior team members.Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain strong client relationships.Preferred Qualifications:Completion of OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Training.Certification as a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner (CERP) or Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) is advantageous.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a robust background in managing ecological construction initiatives, including wetland creation and rehabilitation, stream and shoreline restoration, invasive species control, habitat creation and restoration, as well as green infrastructure projects.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a developing program, broadening its scope and outreach to support our partners in enhancing hazard resiliency and contributing to vital environmental restoration and conservation efforts. We seek someone who is driven by a mission and eager to collaborate with our team to realize a shared vision.
This position can be based out of our offices in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, or Ballston Spa.
