Role Overview: Account Executive
Rebar is hiring its fourth Account Executive in New York City. This person will own revenue generation from the start, working with a technology-driven approach to modernize an industry that still relies heavily on manual processes. The role includes shaping sales playbooks, messaging, and customer strategies as we ramp up growth.
This position suits someone interested in understanding customer workflows, leading enterprise sales, and collaborating with product and engineering as the team scales.
What You Will Do
Drive Revenue and Grow Customer Base
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, product demos, negotiation, and closing deals
- Build outbound and inbound sales strategies from scratch
- Develop and maintain relationships with representatives, contractors, distributors, and manufacturers
- Attend major industry conferences and events to expand the pipeline, form partnerships, and increase brand visibility
- Travel regularly to meet customers and prospects, strengthening relationships and moving deals forward
- Give prompt feedback on go-to-market performance, messaging, and pricing
Champion Customer Needs
- Build a strong understanding of HVAC takeoff, estimating, and quoting processes
- Turn customer feedback into clear product requirements
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to refine the roadmap and improve customer experience
- Advise founders on positioning, packaging, and growth strategies
Strengthen Go-To-Market Foundations
- Set up sales processes, CRM workflows, and training materials
- Create standardized objection handling, qualification criteria, and demo methods
