A prominent utilities enterprise is expanding its operations and is seeking a dedicated IT Support Officer to join their Data Center team.
The Role:
As an IT Support Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing, controlling, and executing batch jobs according to production job plans as required.
- Monitoring file transfers between internal and external systems and scheduled batch jobs closely, responding to alerts promptly.
- Maintaining and updating the Standing Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Ensuring incidents are reported correctly and prioritized for timely resolution.
- Providing regular updates and ensuring proper follow-through until issues are resolved.
- Collaborating with the team on operational support for application systems projects, including batch job scheduling and automation, Operations Acceptance Testing, and application deployment to production.
- Reporting any security breaches and escalating emergencies to the supervisor without delay.
- Conducting proactive monitoring of critical systems and infrastructure services through a centralized IT Operations Management system.
- Escalating issues and following up with the necessary support teams as required.
- Addressing operational job failures and ensuring incident reports are closed by the SLA deadline.
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
