Role overview

This IT Onsite Support Engineer role is based in Shanghai and focuses on supporting internal users. The position works closely with colleagues from various departments to keep workplace technology running smoothly.

What you will do

  • Provide first- and second-level technical support for internal users.
  • Assess, prioritize, and resolve incidents and service requests.
  • Log and manage tickets in the incident management system, following ITIL guidelines.
  • Install, configure, and maintain workplace technology, including hardware, software, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Handle standard software installations, updates, and application patching.
  • Create and update documentation for processes, reports, and knowledge base articles.
  • Collaborate with product teams, developers, and business departments to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Background in IT or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in IT support, service desk, or a similar position.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues for users and systems.
  • Structured, independent, and solutions-focused work style.
  • Strong technical and organizational skills.
  • Professional, service-oriented, and approachable with users.
  • Clear communicator, able to work effectively with both customers and colleagues.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and prioritizing user needs.
  • Experience working in multicultural, international teams.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Available to work on-site in Shanghai.
  • A valid criminal record certificate (issued within the last 3 months) is required.
