Key Responsibilities:Transport materials, components, and equipment between Vast buildings on scheduled and on-demand routes. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of items across close-proximity sites. Safely load, secure, and unload materials to prevent damage during transport. Lift, move, and handle materials, typically up to 50 lbs, with assistance for heavier items. Utilize equipment such as carts, dollies, and pallet jacks as necessary. Support basic staging and organization of materials at pickup and drop-off locations. Employ Vast’s inventory tracking system (Manufacturo) to scan and monitor all material movements. Verify part numbers, quantities, and locations before and after transport. Maintain accurate, real-time updates to ensure inventory integrity.

Role Overview

The Inventory Control Driver plays a key part in supporting the design and construction of artificial-gravity rated human space stations. This full-time, non-exempt position is based at Vast’s Long Beach, California facilities and nearby locations.

What You Will Do

  • Handle inter-building deliveries within the Vast Long Beach area (all within approximately a 3-mile radius).
  • Transport materials, parts, and equipment between company facilities.
  • Help maintain a steady supply flow and support production schedules.
  • Track and document materials as they move between locations.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Manager of Inventory Control.

Location

Role is based in Long Beach, California, with deliveries and duties focused on Vast’s facilities in the area.
