As an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) at CGS Federal, you will work directly with U. S. Government clients to ensure the secure and compliant operation of critical data and application platforms. You will be the foremost authority on system security and compliance, actively engaging with live systems while collaborating with engineers, operators, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for security and compliance across multiple U. S. Government clients.
- Assist in system accreditation and authorization efforts utilizing frameworks such as RMF or DIACAP.
- Work closely with software, systems, and field engineers to ensure proper implementation of security controls, configurations, and policies.
- Evaluate deployed software solutions to ensure they meet applicable security requirements.
- Develop, standardize, and maintain security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), control narratives, and supporting artifacts.
- Generate and validate compliance evidence post-implementation of security settings.
- Organize accreditation artifacts into a coherent, auditable repository.
- Support audits, assessments, and ongoing compliance activities throughout the system lifecycle.
- Ensure continued security and trust of clients through direct system access and collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
