JOB POSITION: Industrial Technician

Are you ready to elevate your career as an Overhead Crane Service Technician? Join Konecranes, a leader in material handling solutions globally. We are looking for talented individuals with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems who are comfortable working at heights. As a service technician, you will be pivotal in our operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in various environments. You will troubleshoot 480 3-phase motors, resolve crane issues, and work collaboratively with clients and facility managers throughout the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer facilities.
  • Engage in on-call service, providing after-hours support as needed.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues directly on-site.
  • Conduct post-repair audits to verify the functionality of safety features.
  • Document findings and suggest corrective actions, including safety notices to clients.
  • Advise clients on repair and safety matters, proposing enhancements for material handling.
  • Utilize company tools for electronic documentation, obtaining necessary client approvals.
  • Stay informed of current industry codes and regulations (OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI).
  • Accurately and promptly complete service reports and required documentation.
  • Maintain communication with the Field Operations Manager and Service Coordinator as per established protocols.
  • Ensure proper functionality of company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets.
  • Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles while reporting any deficiencies to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to established safety rules and procedures, including customer-specific guidelines.
  • Take part in monthly safety meetings.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
