Role Overview
The Implementation Engineer manages customer implementations from kickoff to completion, ensuring clients reach their goals with the product. This role involves building standardized playbooks for data migrations, mapping customer schemas into the platform, troubleshooting edge cases, and working with engineering to improve reliability and close feature gaps.
This is a hands-on position that blends technical problem-solving with clear communication and customer interaction. The work is challenging and often ambiguous, requiring adaptability and consistent delivery. For those interested in future leadership or entrepreneurship, the role offers a front-row seat to customer dynamics, product feedback, and solution delivery under constraints.
What You Will Do
- Oversee a portfolio of customer implementations and help clients achieve success with the product.
- Develop and maintain data migration playbooks, workflows for extracting, transforming, and mapping customer data into the platform.
- Diagnose schema and data issues, working with JSON structures and data transformation logic.
- Tackle technical tasks such as scripting, light automation, and debugging implementation problems.
- Support workflows involving web scraping, web parsing, and general computer usage tasks, using knowledge of HTML, selectors, and web page structures.
- Work closely with engineering to report bugs, identify missing features, and suggest product improvements based on implementation experience.
- Maintain strong customer relationships, communicate clearly, manage expectations, and spot opportunities for long-term expansion.
