We are seeking a dynamic HVAC Sales Engineer to spearhead growth in our HVAC mechanical systems division. This pivotal role is centered on identifying and securing high-margin projects, while fostering lasting service relationships with both new and existing clients. The successful candidate will leverage their technical HVAC knowledge and consultative sales approach to provide holistic building HVAC solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the development and acquisition of profitable HVAC mechanical system projects, consistently achieving quarterly and annual sales objectives.
Collaborate with Property Managers, Builders, and Owners to shape construction documents and optimize building HVAC systems.
Craft detailed technical proposals encompassing system design, scope of work, and precise cost estimates.
Offer expert guidance on HVAC design application solutions.
Perform site surveys to evaluate existing building systems and propose enhancements.
Remain updated with industry trends, energy codes, and HVAC regulations.
Build and nurture relationships with mechanical contractors and consulting engineers.
Oversee project profitability and manage change orders for ongoing projects.
Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations of HVAC control solutions.
Manage projects and coordinate resources to ensure successful execution of installation projects that align with the company’s revenue and margin objectives.
Required Qualifications
Completion of Technical School or:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of technical sales experience within commercial HVAC systems.
Strong understanding of HVAC mechanical systems.
Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets within a technical sales environment.
Exceptional project estimation and scope development capabilities.
Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with construction documents and processes.
Knowledge of Project Management principles.
Understanding of ASHRAE standards and building codes.
Experience with design-build HVAC projects.
