About Our Team
This internship is part of the Human-Centered AI Division (HCAI). We are a cohesive group of machine learning researchers, behavioral scientists, and human-computer interaction specialists. Our primary focus is to empower individuals in making informed decisions by harnessing the power of big data, cutting-edge technology, and insights into human behavior.

Internship Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled PhD intern to join our Future Product Innovation team, where you will explore the potential of Generative AI technologies within automotive product design. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in CAD Generation and Machine Learning or closely related fields, coupled with a passion for design and generative AI. Your primary responsibility will involve developing generative models for 3D parametric B-rep editing and design reasoning.

Throughout the internship, you will attend Future Product Innovation team meetings, participate in Human-Centered AI division discussions, and engage with stakeholders across various Toyota business sectors. This experience will provide valuable insights into interdisciplinary industrial research and allow you to learn from our team and fellow interns. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage in strategic discussions regarding the business impact of your research at Toyota.

This is a paid 12-week internship opportunity for the Fall 2027 semester, offered in a hybrid work format.
