Join our enthusiastic team at Culligan Harvey as a Health & Safety Advisor! In this crucial position within our Household sector, you will lead the charge in upholding exemplary health and safety standards, playing a significant role in supporting both Monarch Water and Aqua Cure.

Located in Woking, this role is integral to the success of Culligan Harvey as we continue to grow through the acquisition of various small dealerships throughout the UK. This presents an exciting opportunity to actively engage with and assist these vibrant locations.

  • Promote a culture prioritizing safety by collaborating with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and operational managers to implement proactive health, safety, and environmental (HS&E) practices across all UKI sites.
  • Embrace a strong 'Go to the Gemba' philosophy—maintaining a visible presence across field operations (installations, service, salt/delivery), warehousing, and manufacturing environments, as well as all company-owned dealer sites to assess risks, behaviors, and safety performance at the source.
  • Facilitate HS&E due diligence for acquisitions, offering coaching to key stakeholders on necessary pre- and post-acquisition steps, and tracking and reporting on progress.
  • Ensure total compliance with statutory HS&E requirements, covering mandatory training, incident reporting, and adherence to all relevant health, safety, and welfare legislation.
  • Guide and influence managers to ensure timely completion and ongoing assessment of risk evaluations for all activities, equipment, and operational processes.
  • Manage incident reporting effectively, ensuring all accidents, near misses, and hazards are recorded, investigated, root causes identified, and corrective actions implemented and monitored.
  • Oversee comprehensive safety inspection protocols, ensuring effective execution of fire drills, fire safety reporting, workplace inspections, risk assessments, and lone-worker procedures, while ensuring all employees are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the Head of HS&E to develop, review, and communicate HS&E policies, safe systems of work, and procedures, ensuring they remain compliant, accessible, and relevant to operations.
  • Adhere to a structured program of HS&E audits, inspections, and evaluations, ensuring outcomes are documented, communicated, and acted upon swiftly.
  • Work in partnership with the Head of HS&E and HR to provide monthly updates to SLT.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for SafetyCulture and Easycompli, ensuring managers and teams have appropriate access, complete actions, and receive accurate monthly progress reports.
  • Lead the Health & Safety Forum by preparing agendas, minutes, and tracking progress. Coach and influence stakeholders to ensure timely completion of all agreed actions.
  • Stay updated with the latest HS&E legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and safety excellence.
