Qualifications:A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in electrical engineering within a product design and manufacturing setting (experience with high power Li-Ion batteries is an advantage). Proficient in overseeing PCB layout to minimize stray inductance and capacitance, implement efficient placement strategies for manufacturability, and optimize power/signal planes for electromagnetic compatibility. Expertise in using Altium Designer for schematic and PCB layout design. Experience with high current power semiconductor selection (IGBTs, MOSFETs, and Diodes), along with gate drive and protection circuit designs. Familiarity with schematic capture and power converter circuit simulation tools. Experience with DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices, including their peripheral circuitry (such as signal conditioning and board-level power supplies). Comprehensive knowledge of environmental, reliability, and safety standards for Automotive, Industrial, and Residential applications. Work closely with the BMS hardware/software engineering team to design, validate, and deploy effective testing tools. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), or a related field.

Join Maxwell Energy's dynamic electronics hardware team as a Hardware Design Engineer. In this hands-on role, you will lead the design, development, and testing of innovative electronic circuits and systems. Collaborate with a dedicated team committed to enhancing advanced electronics and ensure our products can withstand diverse operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop both digital and analog electronics tailored for high-performance electronic systems.
  • Take full ownership of control boards and other electronic components—from initial specifications to design, prototyping, and manufacturing.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with teams specializing in mechanical, digital control, thermal design, and manufacturing testing.
  • Conduct product-level electrical design, focusing on component selection, branch circuit design, and insulation coordination.
