The Role

Watershed is searching for a detail-oriented and proactive Global Payroll Manager to oversee our payroll operations across the US, Mexico, the UK, and our global EOR workforce. This role is pivotal in managing end-to-end payroll processes, vendor relationships, compliance oversight, compensation cycle coordination, and support for cross-border employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance our utilization of Rippling and other payroll/HR systems, ensuring seamless data integration with HRIS, ERP, and time-tracking tools.
  • Lead payroll system implementations or migrations, such as centralizing MX/UK payroll operations within Rippling.
  • Act as the primary liaison for vendors including Rippling, Remote, Mazars (MX payroll/statutory), and UK payroll providers.
  • Ensure compliance and quality across all payroll partners while optimizing SLA performance.
  • Maintain audit-ready controls, workflows, and documentation across all jurisdictions.
  • Define KPIs (e.g., payroll accuracy, timely processing, ticket resolution) for measuring payroll performance.
  • Coordinate the administration of benefits programs in the US and UK in collaboration with the People Ops team.
