About the Geotechnical Engineering Internship – Fall 2026
SGH is seeking undergraduate students for a Geotechnical Engineering Internship in Fall 2026 at the Waltham, Massachusetts office. This program offers hands-on experience both in the office and in the field, working alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects.
What You Will Do
- Build engineering skills through participation in a range of projects.
- Support investigations, analyses, and design work involving deep and shallow foundations, ground improvement systems, earth retaining structures, and excavation support systems.
- Contribute to analyses of soil settlement, slope stability, soil dynamics, groundwater flow, and seepage.
- Help evaluate earthen embankments, dams, reservoirs, tunnels, and asphalt.
