At this pivotal moment of growth, having achieved product-market fit and now scaling rapidly, the company has secured a $3.1 million seed round from distinguished investors, including GSV Ventures, BoxGroup, and notable angel investors from OpenAI, SpaceX, and Retool. With revenue exceeding seven figures, their clientele includes top enterprise staffing firms, including the world’s largest staffing company.
We are looking for a Founding Engineer to become part of a highly skilled team of seven, comprised of talent from prestigious institutions and renowned companies like Stanford, Penn, Waterloo, Retool, and MongoDB. This role is ideal for an innovative builder eager to take ownership of critical systems and set technical standards for an entire industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovation in Evaluation: Develop and establish new benchmarks for technical interviewing, creating systems that replace outdated evaluation techniques and deliver high-fidelity talent assessments.
- AI Implementation: Leverage AI and machine learning to detect fraudulent activities, identify intricate patterns in candidate performance, and expedite the hiring process.
- System Architecture: Architect, develop, and maintain essential full-stack systems from scratch, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- End-to-End Ownership: Oversee features and systems throughout their entire lifecycle—from initial concept and architectural design to deployment and monitoring.
- Strategic Input: As one of the first engineering hires, contribute significantly to shaping the technical roadmap and making critical architectural decisions.
Requirements:
- Technical Proficiency: Minimum of 4 years of experience in modern full-stack development with advanced skills in React, Node.js, and Python (or similar frameworks).
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Experience managing cloud-native infrastructure within AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Startup Mindset: Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-performance startup environment where ambiguity is prevalent.
- Coding Fundamentals: Highly technical with a deep understanding of coding principles.
