About the job
About Treeswift:
Treeswift is at the forefront of transforming how energy companies operate in response to increasing threats such as severe storms and wildfires. We equip these companies with the modern tools they need to enhance field operations and tackle unprecedented growth challenges.
By deploying our advanced sensors on backpacks or vehicles, we capture a wealth of LiDAR and imagery data. This data is analyzed through our AI models, providing actionable insights via our intuitive web platform. Our technology has empowered utilities to mitigate risks associated with wildfire, regulatory issues, and outages due to vegetation, while avoiding delays and cost overruns in new construction projects and speeding up recovery from severe storms.
Since initiating our collaboration with utilities in June 2024, we have partnered with three of the five largest utilities in the United States and are rapidly expanding our customer base and use cases. To meet this growing demand, we are assembling a team of dedicated professionals with extensive experience in robotics (from institutions such as Penn, Caltech, and CMU) and enterprise software development (drawing talent from companies like Palantir, Stripe, Oracle, and MongoDB). Our journey is backed by prominent investors, including Penny Pritzker’s Inspired Capital.
Located in lower Manhattan, Treeswift also maintains an office in Philadelphia and has customer-facing team members strategically positioned closer to client sites, such as the Bay Area.
About the Role:
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, your primary focus will be on the integration and implementation of our technology into client operations. In this role, you will:
Collaborate closely with clients to gain a deep understanding of their operational challenges and how our technology can address them. Regular on-site visits will be essential for observing their workflows firsthand.
Facilitate product deployment at client locations. This includes gathering inputs to configure the platform and assisting in user training for Treeswift’s tools, serving as the first point of contact for support and product feedback.
Assist in integrating customer data systems. This includes mapping our data to fit their existing systems, potentially starting with a one-off data transfer, and progressing towards establishing robust operational pipelines, such as API integrations.
Adapt and extend the platform to fill any gaps identified in order to meet customer needs.
