Programming Skills: Expertise in Python or MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and C++ for flight software development. Mathematical Proficiency: Solid foundation in linear algebra, coordinate transformations (Quaternions, Euler angles), and principles of orbital mechanics or aerodynamics. Preferred SkillsExperience with simulation tools (JSBSim, Gazebo, etc.)Hands-on experience with open-source autopilot systemsFamiliarity with radar and rocket systemsKnowledge of robotics and machine learning concepts

Your role will serve as a vital link between theoretical flight physics and practical software application, optimizing stability and performance across all flight scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Flight Dynamics Modeling: Create advanced 6-DOF (Degrees of Freedom) simulations to accurately forecast vehicle behavior.
  • Control Law Design: Engineer, fine-tune, and evaluate flight control laws using both Classical (PID, Root Locus, Bode) and Modern (LQR/LQG, H-infinity, State-Space) methodologies.
  • Navigation & Estimation: Develop sensor fusion algorithms (e.g., Extended Kalman Filters) to generate precise state estimates leveraging IMU, GPS, and star tracker data.
  • Guidance Algorithms: Innovate trajectory generation and path-planning algorithms for autonomous mission execution.
  • Performance Analysis: Execute Monte Carlo simulations and Linear Stability Analysis (Gain/Phase margins) to verify system robustness.
  • Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL): Facilitate the integration of GNC software with relevant flight hardware and sensors.
