ABOUT THE ROLE  
As a Facilities Project Manager at the Seattle Art Museum, you will lead and oversee various capital and facilities projects, coordinating activities with contractors and professional service firms involved in construction, repair, maintenance, and remodeling across all museum locations. This role encompasses comprehensive project management responsibilities, including subcontractor oversight, stakeholder relations, quality assurance, safety protocols, scheduling, and adherence to project budgets.

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports To: Director of Facilities
Compensation: $109,000.00 - $134,000.00/year, with a target hiring range of $112,000 - $118,000/year
Work Location: On-Site in Downtown Seattle
 
Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with the Director of Facilities on all assigned projects.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate project activities to achieve objectives efficiently, safely, and within budget and timeline constraints.
- Define project goals, requirements, and deliverables while determining necessary tasks and resources.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project work plans.
- Supervise the RFP processes as assigned.
- Manage vendor relationships, including selection, onboarding, performance assessment, risk management, and invoicing.
- Identify potential project risks and formulate effective mitigation strategies.
- Oversee all project elements including scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality, while creating detailed timelines as needed.
- Proactively address and resolve project challenges, implementing necessary changes to meet deliverables.
- Maintain thorough project documentation including budgets, schedules, and closure documentation.
- Coordinate warranty-related project work.
- Develop and implement communication plans for project updates.
- Engage with a variety of stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Maintain clear communication with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate the contracting process, acting as the primary liaison with internal and external counsel.
- Schedule and manage meetings with contractors and stakeholders, documenting notes as required.
- Represent the museum at project meetings and collaborate with colleagues to make informed business decisions.
- Supervise project work to ensure compliance with museum standards and quality expectations.
