Join the expanding team at Asso.subsea, where we are seeking talented and seasoned Marine Electrical Project Engineers to enhance our Engineering Team within the Marine Technology Business Unit, dedicated to ship design and construction. Ideal candidates will possess a robust understanding of engineering principles, exhibit creativity in problem-solving, and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
In this pivotal role, you will ensure that electrical and automation systems comply with industry standards, classification rules, and client specifications throughout the design, construction, and commissioning of specialized offshore and subsea construction vessels. Prior experience as an Electrical Technical Officer on vessels will be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the design, installation, and testing of electrical (LV/HV) and automation systems for new offshore vessels.
- Evaluate and approve technical drawings, schematics, and vendor documentation to guarantee adherence to ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s, and other maritime regulations.
- Oversee the integration of HV/LV systems, switchboards, and power management solutions.
- Collaborate with shipyards, classification societies, and suppliers during planning approvals and inspections.
- Address and resolve electrical and automation challenges during construction, sea trials, and commissioning phases.
- Assist procurement by conducting technical evaluations of electrical equipment.
- Uphold safety standards (SOLAS, IEC, etc.) and best practices in all operations.
