European Dynamics is hiring an experienced Project Manager for IT applications in Brussels, Belgium. English fluency is required. Work will be based either at the Brussels office or directly on client sites. The first assignment centers on working closely with a major client's IT team as part of the Development group.
Role overview
This position focuses on managing small to medium-sized IT application projects, many of which support environmental policy initiatives. The Project Manager will work across technical and functional teams, guiding projects from evaluation through delivery.
What you will do
- Assist the project management team in evaluating, planning, coordinating, and delivering a portfolio of IT application projects.
- Coordinate and oversee teams responsible for business analysis, development, testing and QA, operations, security, UX, and documentation. Facilitate clear communication of dependencies and manage tasks across these groups.
- Collaborate with business owners, product owners, and business analysts to define and document business requirements and user stories.
- Lead testing and quality assurance efforts. Plan and manage test phases, including functional, regression, user acceptance, and non-functional testing. Monitor compliance with entry and exit criteria and oversee defect resolution.
- Develop a strong understanding of the business processes supported by the information systems, including high-level architecture and key cross-system interactions such as data flows, interfaces, security, usability, scalability, and interoperability. Apply this knowledge to support planning and decision-making.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager for IT applications.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to work in Brussels, either at the company office or on client premises.
